The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage Site mountain range in northern Italy. Imagine steep gray cliffs rising out of meadows into blue skies and bright wildflowers in bloom. These are the Dolomites mountains, home of the 1956 winter Olympics and a rising number of Michelin starred restaurants. The nearest airports are Bolzano and Innsbruck, but you’ll get the best prices and most connections coming into/out of Venice airport though it’s a longer drive to the mountains from here.

Driving is the best way to go, so rent a car.
