In reply to <a href="https://www.travelhoney.com/tips/portugal/should-i-buy-a-portugal-sim-card/#comment-5793">Ted</a>.

Hello - Thanks for reaching out! Have you tried contacting the places where you're staying? They may have good idea about where to get a cheap cell phone. Also, have you considered just getting a SIM card for your phone? The Vodafone holiday SIM card gives you a lot of minutes to use for texts and calls in Portugal. Hope that helps!

Hi, I am planning to vacation in Portugal from Sep 19, 2018 - Oct 3, 2018 (two weeks). I need to have a phone that i could use only for emergency or to confirm my hotel, transport, or tour reservations within Portugal only. Do you have any suggestion for the most economical solution for me?

I found a cheap, basic phone on Amazon.com (BLU Tank II, unlocked GSM 2G) for only about $20 US but I can't seem to find any company that sells any SIM card that works on a 2G network phone.

Another company I found sell a basic phone + SIM card (www.worldtravelsim.com) but they don't answer my email or phone message; so I am not sure they're reliable.

Thanks for any help you can offer!
