These are Ryan’s tips for 3 nights in Lagos in the Algarve.  Get great tips on where to eat, go out and where to stay!

Where do you live when you’re not traveling? Boston

Who went on the trip? We’re a couple in our 30s.

What was the Trip? 3 nights in the Lagos in the Algarve in July 2017.

What were your interests/goals on the trip?  We went the Algarve as part of a week long trip to Lisbon and Porto.  Our goal in the Algarve was to relax after being on the go in Lisbon and Porto.

Anything especially awesome?
We drove from Lisbon, which was about a 3 hour drive. Praia de Cavaleiro was an awesome beach on the drive down, there were only two other people when we went. It’s in the middle of nowhere and there are lots of stairs to get down to the beach

We did a private boat charter that was fun. They took us to the caves, saw dolphins, swam, etc. It was way better than just doing one of the small motorized boats with 10-15 people on it for an hour to see 3-4 caves, but obviously more expensive.

Great Fish n Chips/Fish Tacos place called Ol Bastards.

In Lagos, there are lots of dive/college type bars that stay open late (think 4am). Shakers was my favorite.

Had a great lunch of Piri Piri chicken at Restaurante Piri-Piri in Lagos. Only $25 euros with wine for two people.

We stayed at Cascade Wellness Hotel in a great 1 bedroom unit. It was a very nice property. There were much cheaper options in town, but we wanted the poolside service.

Average cost per night of one hotel room? About $325
